Your sync settings determine what information is shared between Shopify and eBay.
To access sync settings, select Apps, and choose sync & inventory control.
Inventory & Order Sync
If you’re tracking your inventory within Shopify, you’re able to sync inventory from eBay to Shopify as well as Shopify to eBay.
If you are not tracking inventory in Shopify, your eBay listings will automatically import with a quantity of 1 available and will auto restock to quantity 1 on eBay each time the product sells on eBay.
You may also sync orders to Shopify. When sync orders is enabled, eBay orders will automatically be created within Shopify for any eBay sold product listing that is linked to a Shopify product. The order may be fulfilled within Shopify and the order status will automatically update to eBay.
Select Settings to the right of Sync Orders
If you have a custom fulfillment service, you may enter those details here so that the eBay orders are sent to Shopify and Shopify will know to send them on to your supplier. If you've linked Amazon to Shopify using Shopify's Amazon app and are shipping FBA from Shopify, please select Amazon Marketplace Web as the fulfillment option in order sync settings so that when inkFrog syncs orders to Shopify, Shopify will know to forward the order on for FBA.
Delete order to change paid status is offered since Shopify does not allow third parties to update the paid status of an order. Therefore if this setting is enabled, we will delete and re-create orders that have been created in Shopify by inkFrog when the paid status changes on eBay. A way to avoid this is to use the payment setting for eBay to require buyers to pay immediately.
When Email Order Paid Status Changes is on, inkFrog will send you an email notifying you when the paid status of an order changes on eBay that is linked to an order in Shopify.
Select the Invalid Shipping Zone Action. Remember that Shopify does not allow inkFrog to create an order for a shipping address that is located in a country not defined in your Shopify shipping zones. This action will be taken if we encounter such an eBay order.
The options include
Automatically create the shipping zone in Shopify
Don't create the order in Shopify
Create the order using a dummy address
eBay Sales are Tax Inclusive offers the ability to choose if you include tax as part of the item price on eBay, for example Goods and Services Tax (GST), but want the tax to be displayed as a separate line item when the eBay orders are pushed to your Shopify store.
Ignore Sales Tax for eBay Orders Shipped to the Following States allows the order to be created in Shopify without the sales tax appearing from eBay. eBay collects and remits sales tax on behalf of merchants for some US states. The states eBay collects & remits tax for may be found here
To select multiple states:
Windows: Hold ctrl + state(s)
Mac: Hold command + state(s)
The Temporary Address must be located in a valid shipping zone you have set up in Shopify. It will be used for orders we create in Shopify from eBay if 'Create the order using a dummy address' is selected for your Invalid Shipping Zone Action above or temporarily when the buyer address is unavailable on eBay.
You’re able to offer a lower available quantity of products on eBay than the quantity that you have available on Shopify using the Allow Separate Inventory Quantity on eBay setting.
If you enable separate inventory, the options to Restock eBay Inventory as well as Automatically Restock eBay Inventory are offered.
Restock eBay inventory, restocks eBay quantity based on restocking Shopify quantity of a product. For example, if you have an eBay quantity of 3 and a Shopify quantity of 5, and you increase your Shopify quantity to 11, which is an increase of 6, eBay will also be increased by 6 and become quantity 9. If you set a limit here, the eBay restock value will not go above the limit you’ve entered.
When enabled, the auto restock eBay inventory option requires values for “When (eBay) Quantity Reaches ___ Set to Fixed Amount ___
If you enter when quantity reaches 1 set to a fixed amount of 2, when eBay quantity of a product reaches 1 due to a sale on eBay, eBay will be automatically restocked to quantity 2 as long as 2 or more are available on Shopify and according to your overall sync settings that are enabled.
If you choose to use the eBay Quantity Import Limit, when you import products from Shopify, the eBay quantity will automatically be set to this amount as long as the Shopify quantity value is at or below this amount. If this field is left blank, the full Shopify quantity value will import.
Title, Description, & Price Sync
You’re also able to sync Title, Description, and Pricing between eBay and Shopify. If you intend on making any changes to the product title, description, or pricing for your eBay listings, we recommend turning off these sync settings both ways.
You’re also able to share sale pricing from Shopify to eBay or eBay to Shopify. As well as increase or decrease the pricing for eBay with the Set eBay price to sync setting.
In this example, we’ve set the price sync to increase eBay 10% above Shopify pricing for all imported products by setting the value to 110% of the store price.
To increase pricing, please be sure to set it above 100% of the Shopify pricing, if we had set 10% in this field, then eBay would be priced at only 10% of the Shopify prices.
Additional Sync Settings
If your Shopify product runs out of stock, is deleted, or is hidden, the associated eBay listings may be ended early with these sync settings enabled.
Consider item out of stock if store quantity falls below: Increasing this value can help prevent overselling if there is a delay with Shopify updating eBay after a sale on Shopify.
Import new variants will import any new variants added to a Shopify product to an eBay listing that already contains other variants.
If there are variants of a product on Shopify that you do not wish to share with eBay, enable Allow Disabling Variants and in the edit listing page, you’re able to disable specific variants of a product if the listing is not live on eBay.
The import limit is useful if you have a large amount of products to import. Selecting no limit will build your entire product catalog on the import from store page.
If you select any other option, the selected value will build on the import page and once it’s complete, you may import those products to list to eBay OR choose to import the next batch of products.
If you intend on exporting eBay listings to create new Shopify store products, the export settings for category option and duplicate product option need to be set up.
The export category option lets you choose what will happen if inkFrog cannot find a matching category on your store for the eBay category in inkFrog.
The available options include
Do not create new categories on store (use no category)
Create categories on store to match eBay
Use a default category 'imported from eBay' (it will be created if it does not exist)
The duplicate product option setting lets you choose how inkFrog will identify duplicate products when exporting products from inkFrog to your store.
The available options include
Ignore (do not check for duplicates - export all products
Match by title
